From Ocracoke Island and South…

With the weather continuing to reward us, we left Ocracoke Island on another Ferry Ride to Cedar Island, a beautiful 2.5 hour ride. Ally got to walk on the deck this time but clearly wasn’t sure what this was all about and took refuge, watching out the door of the Cherry. We stayed at a nice campground just outside of Atlantic Beach, NC where I was able to visit one of my longtime great friends, Claudia and her husband Chris. It was a great visit, but always too short.

From there we headed further south and found 2 wonderful State Parks in South Carolina. Our favorite, Huntington Beach is where we have decided to stay a few days. Wonderful beaches, hiking and biking trails, history and incredible nature are all a part of this great area. The weather has been sunny and 60’s and 70’s so not a bad place to just hang.
