Blue Ridge Mountain Wonder
We were off grid for a couple of days after leaving the Skyline Drive and Smith Mountain Lake State Park. By the way, Smith Mountain Lake is a great state park in Virginia for camping, cabins, hiking, biking and lots of water activities. We really enjoyed it. As we hit the Blue Ridge Parkway, we hit a bit of rain and intense fog so our first day and a half we really weren’t able to see a lot. We did however find the Blue Ridge Music Center and learned about country and blue grass music and the history of the instruments, we then got to hear a master play some awesome banjo. The next day the sun came out and the Blue Ridge was just amazing, such beautiful mountains and scenery…
The next stop was Linville Falls, a beautiful little campground right on the Blue Ridge Parkway and some incredible hikes and waterfall.
